Guest tarbaby
Got into my treestand saturday night with high hopes only to see a hawk feeding on something 60yds away in a standing bean field. Got the binos out and saw some antlers. I was thinking maybe he ran himself to death after a doe or another buck whooped him. Well after it got dark I went to a buddy's house to get some lights and call the local and go back to see exactly what happened. The young 8pt had to rifle entry holes in his right shoulder that i believe came out his hind end. I couldnt tell exactly because his hind was all chewed up. Well i called the warden and did what i needed to do. Got a picture of the rack that I will post later but I really believe it was a deer I have 5 pictures from my trail cam. I judged this guy at 2 1/2... he would have been a hog... here he is

Guest tarbaby
Re: ******* POACHERS!!! I was thinkin they could have shot him facing them with a little angle, that would put the exit holes in his hind. If he is still out there next weekend (prolly not though) I will try to get pics of the body. But now that you say that Onieda... the beans were all torn up around him... either a fight or he struggled a bit??

LETMGROW
Re: ******* POACHERS!!! Or he could have been shot on someone elses land and died on yours. If a poacher killed him , why didn't they pick him up?
