DU_man_84
get set up early this afternoon was in stand by 1:00 and got settled, and bout 2:30 nice doe came right to me, i was set up on a ridge, well she walked and got within 15 yards on the down side of the hill, broadside, easy little chip shot, stopped her, let er fly, watched the hair on her back go everywhere, just skinned her, she ran bout 30 yards and stopped, turned and licked her back, so she went bout her business, and i watched her, bout an hour of watching, here she comes again, right to the same spot, lets try it again, same exact results, hair everywhere, this time she took off, sat down and thought bout it, i was really mad at this point, couldnt figure it out, so i took out my third arrow and said screw it and aimed at a little green leaf right where she would have been standing, let er fly put the arrow right in the middle of the leaf, so now i cant figure out why i missed, i dont know if the other two arrows didnt fly true for some reason or i just flat out missed twice, im gonna do some shooting tomorrow and see whats up, and by the way, im taking this one real hard cause its finally my first misses ever at a deer

TKLambert
Re: Ruff night Did you notice if the doe dropped when you shot at her, that could have been the reason you cought her on the back and got the leaf dead on.

3whunt
Re: Ruff night that stinks..... i was expecting a horror tale about tracking a gut shot deer all night.... at least you know she is alive and well.... and you got two misses out of the way... now settle down and whack her.
