Turkeygirl
I didn't know what else to entitle this, lol. I guessa good venting post maybe. I was planning to turkey hunt this afternoon on the home turf. Neighbor went up into the woods with his tractor, figured I'd go anyway and try to find where those turkeys are. I would have gone this morning but was called in to work for a few hours. Anyway I just checked the weather, going to rain most of the weekend, and today, the only dry day, weh ave a north wind which is the best wind for my one deer stand. So I think I'm going to deer hunt tonight, see if a doe will come by. Then this weekend turkey hunt in the rain. by the way, are turkeys still going to hit the fields in the fall in a rain? I'm not really sure where I should concentrate my search efforts as I have not been in the woods up back in awhile. Fields and maybe spots that have beech nuts or acorns? This coming week is the last week of archery and turkey season. My hopes of break an almost 3 year no turkey streak are getting lower and lower but I'll have to stick it out and see. I feel like I'm becoming a bad turkey hunter, I dunno... But yeah, say a prayer God will send a turkey my way sometime this week....I'll take a doe for my archery tag to, but I would love to get a turkey again...it would build my confidence that's for sure. Thanks friends!
