I have my o-ficcial Team Realtree wristwatch strapped to the hang-strap of my backpack so I can see it all the time. By law, starting time for me, yesterday morning was 6:28 A.M. There was no way on God's green earth that it was safe or responsible to take a shot at anything in that little bit of light. However, again, in the evening, there was safe shooting light 15 minutes after legal hours..........and it was overcast & raining. Go figger. Oh, yeah.........here in PA if you get checked by a warden, you'd better know (within 10 minutes or so) what actual quitting time is. I got asked one time as I came out of the woods really late. Warden was waiting by my truck for me. Fact is that I was hunting pretty far back in and I had also stopped on the way out to watch a huge flock of geese come in to a beaver dam to roost up. So I came out pretty darned long past quitting time. Warden didn't have a problem with that. But he said "Do you know when quitting time was tonight? And don't tell me dusk!!" [/ QUOTE ] Now add in the factor that your treestand is on the edge of a cut cornfield....and that 15minutes turns into 30!
