I lost a pal

Death is a part of life but boy does love hurt. This morning I put my cat Ashes to sleep. I'm crying as I type this it hurts so much...I had him for 11 years, just about half my life. He's had urinary problems off and on for several years and the vet gave us food and some Baytril for him and he'd be fine. Well he had a urinary blockage and had not peed yesterday and didn't eat or drink last night. Took him to the vet this morning and while I could have paid around $300 for the problem to be fixed, I decided it would be best to let him go join our other cat, Cleo. He would just have the problem again at some point and I'd have to deal with him dying anyway. He was 11 years old so getting up there. It was a hard decision but it was for him. I loved him so much and will greatly miss him. Would appreciate some prayers....

Re: I lost a pal

I'm sorry to hear that and I feel your pain. We had to put down our little dog of 18+ years, last year and it was really hard to do. To make matters worse, the old boy wouldn't die fast when the vet administered the needle, and we had to stand there and hold him until he passed.

It's never easy. frown.giffrown.gif

Turkeygirl,

Sorry for your loss. Great kittys are hard to come by.

Will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks for sharing the moment. Reminds me of a special Kitty I had once upon a time. 17 yrs of love I had from and for that great cat.

Thanks for reminding me of who I have loved.
