Hey guys

Today I was cleaning the rain gutters when I noticed that my roof needed some other repairs...when i climbed on up to do them my feet slipped and i fell.

I fractured my right heel...they put on a splint and wrapped it until i go to a orthopedic specialist on monday. It could have much much worse....the ER doc said he had seen people who landed like i did shatter the vertebrae in their back...so I thank God it wasnt that bad.

I am hoping that they can put a walking cast on it soon so i wont miss too much work but needless to say my hunting season is over...I am thankful that i was able to take a doe with my bow last week so I wont be completely shut out this year.

I am in a lot of pain so any prayers will be appreciated...and i will try to keep you informed on how goes it oh and btw...the old saying is right...the fall didnt hurt but the sudden stop did!!

Thanks

John

I'm not sure if it would have helped but there is a devise that attaches to your ladder called the Strong Arm that holds your ladder in place. At least then you could have grabbed the ladder for safety.

Hope this accident does not ruin your season and hope you heal fast. Glad your alive too.

Ouch! I was up hanging Christmas lights this weekend and I thought about that too. I Dont bounce like I use too.... Hope all heals quickly.

Btw, they make a screen that covers the top of your gutters. It keeps out all debris but allows the water to go in. Well worth the money.
