Rhino
Re: Spring 2005 Take 2 I'll probably be hunting these guys or some of their relatives. Not sure what weapon yet because I might buy a new turkey gun before the season starts. What calls I use will be whatever gets the best response. Won't know for sure until I start. Not excited yet about spring turkey hunting. Our rut is just getting cranked up in Mississippi so I'm excited about deer hunting right now. Guest Tail_Feathers
Re: Spring 2005 Take 2 I'm hoping to start with Rios in Southwest Texas in late March and start April off with an eastern at home. With some luck, I may see some Merriam hunting in late April or early May in '05! I'll be toting the lovely but deadly 835. I'll be trying to lure 'em in with my new Albert Paul box call, having a Hooks mouth call in as back-up. Excited? Haven't really thought about turkey hunting yet... Did I mention I may well have a shot at three sub-species this year???? Heck yes I'm pumped and practicing on the mouth calls already!
