slugshooter
Re: romantic getaway ideas?????? You could take her on a "Bridges of Madison County" tour, of course, living in Iowa, I'm sure you've seen them. I'm at a loss as to any romantic things to do in Iowa, ya'll could go down to the local livestock show and camp out under the stars... , or you could take her to the baseball field that Kevin Costner built and see what's really out there in the corn stalks...aww heck, just take her hunting!! Jeramie
Re: romantic getaway ideas?????? Hopeless romantics I tell ya.... Take her out to a nice dinner and find tickets to something that doesn't typically come with popcorn or pickles (meaning, not the movies). Look for some sort of show. Women (for the most part) love that stuff. Plan EVERYTHING from the dinner to the date so its one fluid motion and she doesn't have to make any decisions.. She will appreciate that. Treat her like she is the only woman alive. Plan ahead now. Buy some cheap flowers (Walmart flowers are fine). Take the time to pull off several of the pedals, discard the rest. Store those and take them with you (without her knowledge). Just before you two go to sleep for the night have her close her eyes and then sprinkle the pedals all over her. I sprinkled them on my wife while she was in the bath tub and she cried for two hours.... Trust me, its a winner. Have fun!

RangerClay
Re: romantic getaway ideas?????? Idea 1: Is there some place nearby that celebrates a community Christmas?? You can take her to a bed and breakfast, do the sleigh rides, Christmas shop for each other, and that sort of thing. Idea 2: Do you have a town full of factory outlet stores? Someplace where you two can indulge in shopping. Give her a prepaid credit card and tell her to go nuts. Idea 3: Here is a web page I have bookmarked for ideas Greg Godek Good luck and by all means... HAVE FUN

Guest Andrea
Re: romantic getaway ideas?????? I like Joe's ideas. ( RangerClay) GO WITH THOSE!!!! If she's into hunting then you can do the "girly" thing at night then you both can go hunting the next morning. Or spend some money at a Bass Pro or Cabela's store THEN go out that night THEN go hunting the next day. ( My ultimate romantic get away)
wtnhunt
Re: romantic getaway ideas?????? One of these days when our kids get old enough or we find someone we can trust to watch them for any length of time, the wife and I are going to take a hunting trip away from the kids. Maybe to Montana or Kansas.
