I think they are dragging the whole thing out intentionally. They better come out with something huge or their fans are not gonna be happy. Adding Dampners is just not cutting it anymore. With as quiet as bows are already people are more concentrated on speed and forgiveness. Just my .02 cents.

I agree on the dampners Hutch. I would like to see a carbon riser like the High Countrys. Knock that weight down some.

Dragging it out? Since the Mathews Forum has been around the members have been upset because other Forums always find out about the new bows before the Mathews Forum. Looks like Mathews is going to launch the new bows on their site first...finally. Are you a member of their Forums? If you aren't, you'd be shocked at how many posts there have been in the last month asking when the bows are coming out. The clock is just giving the members a time and date as to when the bows are being released. I wouldn't call it dragging it out, considering a few years ago they didn't release their bows until January. wink.gif

I love the dampers comments that it just isn't cutting it anymore.

The XT is the smoothest, quietest bow they've ever made so the xtra dampers must be doing something.

I'd also prefer my sound deadening to be built into the bow rather than have the factory load it up with every rubber limb, riser and string silencer on the market like some other brands.

No, I'm not a member and have no reason to be. I don't own any Mathews. The reason they are releasing earlier these days is because the new bows like Hoyts and others have already hit the shops and are selling like hotcakes. Mathews isn't stupid they realize with all the companies that are now releasing new models early that they would loose a ton of sales if they didn't.

As far as the dampners I can't tell much difference sound wise from the Original Switchy to the XT.
