Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
How's Team Two doing. I put down a cow today about 4 miles from home. The best part was she was standing on the trail: No Packing. The view from near the kill The big Old Cow, I hope she isn't too tough. the buglers were worn down to the nubs. Cheers, BeanMan

whitetailtrax
Re: Team Two Nice job BeanMan! I passed on a few critters during bow season and haven't had much time to hunt with the rifle, but will probably get out once or twice more before season ends. Congrats again! Squirrelhunter91
Re: Team Two Wow. I love that view. I am so gonna make a trip out there before I die. Congrats on the cow! No exit for the bullet I assume? Excellent. No energy wasted.
NEbuck
Re: Team Two Good job on the cow. I got a 5x5 bull during the first season by Del Norte in the Rio Grande. He only scores around 180.
Guest Colorado Bob
Re: Team Two Beanman-----are you up on the Grand Mesa? I've never been up there. Got up to the Colorado National Momument a couple times. Pretty nice view. CB
Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
Re: Team Two CB, Yup. The pictures are from the Whitewater Basin area of the Grand Mesa. The town of Palisade is in the picture with Grand Junction off in the far left. My Wife and I cut up all but the front shoulders tonight. We'll finish tomorrow. I really don't enjoy doing it but believe we get better quality meat that way. My shoulders are aching from hunching over cutting. Guest Colorado Bob
Re: Team Two My wife & I want to haul up the camper & do some fishing up there on the Mesa. Lots of good trout lakes up there from what I hear. Hope she's not to tough-----pretty old cow with her ivories woren down & all. CB
Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
Re: Team Two CB, The Grand Mesa does have some good fishing, especially if you are willing to walk in about 2 miles. Most people won't walk that far so those that do will have it better. let me know when you go and I'll point you towards my favorite lake. The Grand Mesa has possibly the worst Mosquito problem in the State. You won't last long if you're not prepared. BM
