Nick
Re: Tanning a Hide? Go to Reinharts web site and they will send you a free taxidery catalog. They have a do-it-yourself kit for about $30 in their catalog.

MUDRUNNER
Re: Tanning a Hide? I was looking into doing one myself, and a buddy turned me onto W.B. Place.I think their website is www.wbplace.com .They do hair on tanning for like $50+ shipping. They can also make gloves and jackets.I got my hide back in a few months, and it looks great. JJL
Re: Tanning a Hide? I can get them done through my local fur buyer for $55. But, I've done a couple myself for about the same price and found it very rewarding. It sure gives you an insight into what a taxidermist that has a self contained shop goes through to get his work done. Buy one of the kits and get to work, make sure to follow the directions. It's not Rocket-Science, but it does require patience. Well worth the effort if you want to give it a try.
