Hoyt03
What kind of slings do you use on your rifle. I have a wood stock with blued barrel and I would like to get a nice leather one possibly personalized with my name on it. Does anyone know if they make this kind anywhere, or what would you suggest. Basspro and cabelas doesnt have much of a selection.
AJ
Re: Rifle slings? Cabelas has this Hunter Cobra Sling. There is also Lever Gun Leather. I would suggest checking with your local leather shop. Personally, I don't use that type of sling anymore. I use the neoprene slings from Butler Creek that stretch. It makes carrying the rifles a lot more comfortable.

LETMGROW
Re: Rifle slings? I use Butler Creek also. It is light, durable and not expensive. I often take my sling off when I am in really thick brush etc. so it won't hang up or snag. All my slings have detachable fasteners or swivels. I can fold up my sling and put it into my pocket if need be. A really nice leather sling looks good in your gun cabinet but the nylon types are more practical for hunting. Shaun_300
Re: Rifle slings? I have a nice Browning leather sling on my BLR, not sure who makes it, I think it's made by some natives up here. I'll take a pic of it this weekend to show ya. Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
Re: Rifle slings? I went with a Butler for my hunt this year. It is much more comfortable than my leather sling and does not slip. BM

Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: Rifle slings? I have a nylon but I'd like to add a piece of neoprene so that it "sticks" where I put it.
too_pointer
Re: Rifle slings? I also prefer the Butler creek slings that do not slide of your shoulder and have some stretch to it. too_
