muggs
Re: That Was An Ugly Game!!! [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] John, what's it gonna take for you to realize Bad Ben is not the second coming? True, he survived a motorcycle wreck, but I'm not willing to say he's immortal. [/ QUOTE ] Again, when did I say anything about him being immortal? I have no idea what you are talking about. You are the one with Troy Smith for your avatar, and little love sayings about him in your random signatures. You won't see anything like that from me. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] It was a joke. You see, since I say you think he's the second coming, I make a joke referrencing immortality because Jesus was immortal...so I assume you think Ben is as well. Try to keep up, because you can't slow this wit down.
buckbuster11
Re: That Was An Ugly Game!!! Wit? You tell me that I said Ben was the "second coming" and he is "immortal" which is not true, and you can check every single post in this forum over the last 3 years to verify that by the way. Then you make a joke nobody is going to get, that is based off of something you made up, and you call that wit? Nice job turbo.

LifeNRA
Re: That Was An Ugly Game!!! [ QUOTE ] That was disgusting. I will give it to Ben though he fought through some sacks and made some good plays. Most of the interceptions weren't his fault and the Browns offense dud zilch. See you again in a couple weeks. [/ QUOTE ] Thats true! He had the ball right in their hands and they let it slip! They shouldnt have pinned it on Ben! Buts thats the way it goes! Like I said, either way it was an ugly game! BTW Steve figure it out yet??? LMBO!!!
buckbuster11
Re: that was an ugly game [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'd apologize to the Packer fans for ripping Favre's 29 picks last year...at this pace, Bad Ben is gonna shatter that record. [/ QUOTE ] Funny you should mention that. And that BB11 said that take away the talent and ALL QB's are average. I don't remember who kept saying that Favre's lack of talent surrounding him last year was no excuse for his poor play. [/ QUOTE ] Ok, back to you Matt. How different is the Packers personel this year compared to last?
Chrud
Re: that was an ugly game Well John, a lot on offense. At the receiver position, Donald Driver was the only weapon Favre had. In 2005 Driver had 80 catches. Only two other players had over 40, one had 45 and the other 42. Hmm...who would you cover on that offense? Probably the only receiver with talent out there. This year, Driver is back to what he was a couple years ago and Greg Jennings is playing great for a rookie. So, he's got one more weapon at receiver than last year. Bubba Franks is so-so at TE this year, but David Martin has been really good. The biggest change is the running game. Last year Green, Davenport and Fisher all got hurt. The #1, 2 and 3 backs. In 2004 Green and Davenport were both over 4 yards per carry, Davenport over 5. That was a huge loss for GB. Gado was a #4 back with serious fumble problems. This year, Green is back, plus Morency and Herron. All of them are 4.2 YPC and better. Plus, they can all catch well too. GB has some better weapons at all positions this year. The defense still sucks, but the offense is much improved. And being the youngest team in the league, they'll be much better in future years. Plus, Favre only has 7 INTS this year. And Ben has play less than Favre this year. Now, don't blame lack of talent, because that don't count.
buckbuster11
Re: that was an ugly game Yeah I always liked Herron. Wish the Steelers would of kept him, he was a good deal for a 7th round pick. Well I was definately wrong about Favre for this year no doubt about it. Even though he might have more weapons I think the biggest thing is he really has made a conscious decision to take better care of the ball this year, at least from what I have seen of him this year. He is definately having a much better season then last year.
