superguide
Well got the kids buck tags all filled so I got to hunt a bit harder for myself. Got a bit of a late start this A'M so couldn't make my circle. The wind was right to hunt Sar's stand so I headed out-gave a few bleats and saw this big fella cruising though the spruce. He stepped out into a little meadow and I made a good shot on him. I think he'll be my highest scoring buck to date but won;'t know till Ty measures him tonight. superguide
Re: Dad\'s Turn!! In Hunter-I'm not an outfitter and these are free ranging deer so I can't really manage them per se. I'd seen this buck from aways of a few times-I almost passed him up-he grossed 160 but I think he had a couple more years of growing in him.I think it's more luck than skill -I grew up on this place and have spent 1,000's of hours hunting back there-the road warrioprs push alot of bucks into my place by the time the rut starts so I just coyote around for a few hours a day and hopefully cross paths with a decent buck. Superguide Jr. thinks like a deer himself lol. CLB it's hard to believe but all four kids love wild game-we usually eat 12-15 deer a year. If you've ever seen teenagers eat you'd know why lol. Hey sask. killer Ty just told me who you are-I'm sure you'll have a bigger one by horn measuring and I can't even bench you this year if you beat me lol.
