Strut10
Re: PA bear..... *pics [ QUOTE ] ....... didn't realize that was "our" name...how did it come about? [/ QUOTE ] The little valley full of house right over the hill behind Dad's has been known, by the locals, as Skunk Hollow for decades. At least half of the gang members present the first year were Skunk Hollow natives...........hence the name.

snapper
Re: PA bear..... *pics Hey....where did you check your bear at? Just curious...the biggest at Yellow Creek station was 418lbs. as of Wens. afternoon. I usally stop back to check on Thanksgiving day...but it seems the PGC can't find the time to put the little dots (stickers) on the map to show location of kill. So I haven't been back. Strut10
Re: PA bear..... *pics [ QUOTE ] Hey....where did you check your bear at? Just curious.... [/ QUOTE ] I checked it at Reynoldsville. The taxidermy is being done at Jordan's right above Punxsutawney on Rt 36. So I couldn't see going 30-some miles the other way then turn around and go clear back to Punxsy. Reynoldsville's only about 15 minutes from Jordan's. The warden at the check station gave me the pin and told me to stick it where the kill occurred. Wonder why they don't do that at Yellow Creek?
