Tip of The Week

Very good tip Jim.

I had a buck try to slip past behind me on 2 occasions.

Both times, they were very close and almost down on their bellies, sneaking like you or I would, with their eyes turned right sideways, keeping me in view.

The first one bolted as soon as our eyes met.

The second one, was trying to sneak out from the other end of a log I had sat down on while I was waiting for my buddy to push bush.

He crawled out from the bushes at the end of the log and snuck around and down in behind me over the hill. He was a nice 6 point blacktail, so I waited about 20 minutes, while listening to him move around in the thick stuff behind me. He went quiet and I thought maybe he had stuck off to my right.

I knew there was a cut going down the hill about 25 yrds to my right along the hill and I would be able to see right down to the swamp (about 50 yrds).

I slowly made my way over to the cut and was slowly making my way down towards the swamp, when he cut out of the thick stuff, from in behind where I was sitting on the log. He bolted right across in front of me, in the cut at 20 yrds.

Perfect running shot with my shotgun, loaded with 000 buckshot.

Good tip Jim-the-tip-man

I'm guessing now, that the "T" after your name stands for "TIPS"......LOL ....
