If you know the model number you can try gunbroker.com to give you an idea of what it is worth.

By the way a .44 mag is a cannon! I have only shot one a handful of times and it takes everything I have to not let it hit me in the face. smile.gif

Re: S & W 44 mag

Considering I just went to the S&W website and it looks like it retails for $700 or $800(the new ones could be different though). I would think $475 would be a good price. Don't take my word for it though do your homework.

Does the one you are going to buy come with adjustable sites also?

Re: S & W 44 mag

I think $475 is a bit on the high side unless it's unfired. Bluebook shows a 629 in 95% (typically what a used revolver will be even though it's very clean and tight) in the $350 range. I personally wouldn't pay that price. But, like most things.......it really depends on just how much you need it.
