I always though that it was Jimmy Durante that did the voice over for Spike the dog but it was Richard Gautier. For those old enough to remember the Jimmy Durante's show catchphrase "Good night, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are"if you watch the first clip it sure sounds like him, but i guess i,m the only one that old. "Bonjour Pussycat!" And there is one particular episode that makes me cringe everytime I happen to see it. The sound effects in the cartoon are totally weird. It's the one where they are making fun of Moby Dick. The sea captain is referring to the whale as "Dicky Mo".
