Re: Who enjoys Tom & Jerry??

Thanks for the link. It was nice watching them again. I always though that it was Jimmy Durante that did the voice over for Spike the dog but it was Richard Gautier. For those old enough to remember the Jimmy Durante's show catchphrase "Good night, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are"if you watch the first clip it sure sounds like him, but i guess i,m the only one that old. crazy.gif Older then dirt. grin.gifgrin.gif

Re: Who enjoys Tom & Jerry??

LOVED Tom and Jerry. One of my favorites is the one with the baby mouse who is from France.

"Bonjour Pussycat!" grin.gifgrin.gif

And there is one particular episode that makes me cringe everytime I happen to see it. The sound effects in the cartoon are totally weird. It's the one where they are making fun of Moby Dick. The sea captain is referring to the whale as "Dicky Mo". I have to turn it or get up and leave the room if it comes on while the kids are watching it. CREEPS ME OUT!!!!! crazy.gifcrazy.gifcrazy.gifsmirk.gif

I remember hearing on the news that they will no longer run the episodes showing the black maid that used to boss Tom around. Seems it is "racist" nowadays.

Do you remember Inky the Savage? Think that cartoon will ever see the light of day again? Not likely!
