Eric
Hello Was wandering what would be the best bullet for whitetail deer in 7mm Rem Mag. What size grain? Recomended Brands? Hornady, Winchester Remmington etc.? Hollow point or full metal jacket etc? I want a good load that will have good knock down and acurracy with as little bullet drop as possible. Thanks
Guest shotist
Re: 7mm Rem Mag Deer Load Pick your poison because all manufacturers make good ammo today. 140-150gr is about right in the 7Mag and you wouldn't go wrong with any of the manufacturers that you listed. Stick to the soft point or ballistic tip style bullets that your rifle will digest accurately and your rifle will be lethal on any whitetail you're likely to encounter on this planet. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: 7mm Rem Mag Deer Load You'll want to stay away from the HP or FMJ bullets. Those are more target rounds than hunting bullets. Any weight will work, just find out what your rifle groups the best with and go with those. In my 7 mag, I shoot 140 gr Winchester Supreme Ballistic Tips for deer.

Guest ronin
Re: 7mm Rem Mag Deer Load I recommend Barnes Triple Shocks 140 Gr. Federal Vital Shok is a factory load that I like quite a bit.
FSU_Seminole
Re: 7mm Rem Mag Deer Load I shoot Winchester 140 grain ballistic silver tips in mine, but I only hunt with it if I'm hunting big bean or corn fields. If you are shooting closer "under 200 yards" I'd go with the plain old Remington core lokts.

If you are worried about the recoil, they also make some with 1/2 the recoil.
