Remington 130's or 150's.......Winchesters.........whatever. [/ QUOTE ] For my 270, Federal Premiums 130 grain BTSP. My rifle hates Remington. But yours may like them better than Federal. Got to shoot them to see what the gun likes!
wtnhunt
Re: Best 270 round for Whitetails My model 700 likes the core lokt 150 grains. Was going to switch to the 130 grain psp's, but they do not group quite as well for me.

superguide
Re: Best 270 round for Whitetails Shot a 100 or so Deer with Federal 130 grain pointed softpoints-they're $15 a box and have worked well for me-a 1/2 inch differance in group size really doesn't mean diddly squat in a huntying situation to be quite honest. AJ
Re: Best 270 round for Whitetails Which ever one you happen to have. Deer are not that hard to kill. Which ever bullet shoots best for you if the shots are going to be over 200 yards.
robk
Re: Best 270 round for Whitetails i did some reloading when i had my 270 and i found that the 130 grain bullet would be the best and i like the barnes 130 grain triple shock. would be good for any size deer and a lot of knock down power rob k
Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: Best 270 round for Whitetails Cheap ones that go fast!!! LMBO I use a 130 in the Rem. Core-lokt Gun goes bang, deer falls there or shortly there after. I used to shoot a more expensive bullet and got the same results. I ended up spending twice the $ for the same affect. Then I got edumicated. So what do I do. I just buy 2 boxes ever year instead of one. Nice huh? LOL

superguide
Re: Best 270 round for Whitetails I'm not kidding there's nothing tougher than a big whitetail buck-a moose lays up alot quicker than those 300 pounders do when hit a bit off. They have an amazing will to keep going-I've tracked bucks for miles that you think wouldn't of gone yards.
