need2hunt Posted November 24, 2006 Report Share Posted November 24, 2006 Not a long and exciting story... Went down to the inlaws for thanksgiving on tuesday night. Wednsday i went farther south to a hunting spot I have. Got in the stand at 10:30, had one down on the ground by 11:15 Just a 2.5 year old deer. Shot was about 10 yards, I kinda cringed at the shot as it was a little farther back than I normally hit, but it was liver and lungs. Went about 50 yards and was done. I saw 8 deer while I was there. Also last year we heard that the neighbor might have got the big deer that we had been after for the last 5 years. The landowner boys have seen it and confirmed that it was the same one - also it is the new county record. It was fun chasing him all those years and good to find out that he was a county record.
