Born2Hunt
I have been confused for some time about trail cams. If I were to spend up to $300.00 on a new cam which should I get. I want fast trigger speed and a good quality picture. If an animal walks past the camera I want it to take a picture. I don't want to wait for a few seconds to trigger. We have a Moultrie game spy 200 that just will not trigger fast or at all and I don't want to get into this situation again. What are all of your opinions on what brand to get? Please help!!!!!! wtnhunt
Re: Trail Cams???????? Cannot go wrong with the leaf river cams. The leaf river should have no problem dealing with the cold weather.

[/ QUOTE ] Hey Bushman sorry I missed seeing you this trip out. I am in the same boat as you and Kaare temp wise and yes the cameras Cudde and Leaf can handle the cold it is the batteries that cannot and die real fast. My brother in law and I are in the middle of making an insulated box to try the cams in, one with stirofoam and the other with actual insulation to see if that helps with battery life. I will let you know how we make out.

bowana
Re: Trail Cams???????? Try PVC Foam. Its a little more expensive, but has great insulating properties. Used in automotive applications
