bwlacy
I am shooting a NEF huntsman. Using Harvester 300 grain hollow point, in a Harvestrer sabot, with 110 grains of FFg GOEX Pinnacle and a 209 primer. I have not shot it thru the chrono so I don't know how many FPS I am getting. I am right on at 75 yards, about a 1 1/4 group. How fast will these drop? That is my question. Should I raise it up a couple of inches. My longest shot could be however far I am comforable with. I will probably limit myself to 150 yards. Thanks for any info Matt
Guest shotist
Re: Trajectory ? 2" low at 100, 6" low at 125, 12" low at 150. Just a wild guess mind you. You should verify it. May be better to zero at 100.
LETMGROW
Re: Trajectory ? The only way to find out for sure is take it to a range and shoot it! No one can predict the flight of a bullet. Guessing isn't good enough. Whatever you shoot at deserves more than a guestimate!
AJ
Re: Trajectory ? They will drop at the rate of 32 ft/s squared. The same as any bullet fired out of any gun will. The art is trying to figure out how fast its going so you will be able to determine hw far out it will be when it drops X amount. Basically, shoot it on paper is the obly true way to know for sure exactly what the measurement will be.
bwlacy
Re: Trajectory ? Thanks guys. I know that I need range time to find my exact POI. I was looking for a good starting point, without using alot of ammo up. I will give my scope the adjustment I think I need and head to the range this week and go from there. Thanks Matt
johnf
Re: Trajectory ? I sight every gun I've got 2" high at 100 yards. I would start there and see where it's at at 125 then 150. Shoot for the boiler room and you should be ok.
