BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: t/c omega w/nikon bdc What 250 gr bullet are you using ... what powder? ... its meant to be setup with the Shockwave and 3 777 pellets ... what gun are you shooting it out of? ... its meant for the TC guns ... especially the Omega or the Encore since they have the exact same barrell ... if its the pro hunter .. that has a 28" barrell ... guess what I am getting at is we need a little pre info .. BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: t/c omega w/nikon bdc Is it on at 200 yards? you know how the dots work ... dont mean to be simple but simple things get missed .... crosshairs are 100 ,125, 150, 200, then 250. if that gun is hitting 10 inches high at 250 I would ask if the bullet is tumbling or shooting perfect holes ... maybe the scope is messed up with that last dot ... I also know that the 28" barrel isnt what they sighted that gun in with it was the 26" barrel ... that could make a difference at farther ranges also .. Guest azhunter
Re: t/c omega w/nikon bdc I DIDN'T CHECK THE 200YD. EVERYTHING I HAVE SHOWS IT SHOULD WORK, I HAVE A NIKON LITERATURE THAT SHOWS THE SAME...FROM THE GUN TO POWERED.ALSO THE BOOK SHOWS THEM USING A 28''BARREL.I WENT TO SPORTSMANS WAREHOUSE THE SALESMAN SAID ,TO LOAD DOWN.HE SAID TO LOAD 130GR.HE ALSO SAID THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME THING???? BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: t/c omega w/nikon bdc I went to the Nikon demo when they had that here ... they shot 3 pellets 250 gr with a 26" barrell and it shot a 2 inch group at 250 yards ... 100 yards the bullets were touching ... thats kinda strange that you are hitting 10 inches hi ... I would try the others and see what you can come up with ... Steve

wtnhunt
Re: t/c omega w/nikon bdc Welcome to the forums. Sounds like your compensation for drop in your scope is off a bit if you are hitting ok on the other yardages. Dont think changing your powder charge will correct that from 200 to 250. Might try shooting the 200 yard reticle at 250 and see where it hits. If it hits low then try aiming between the 200 and 250 yard reticles and see if that does not put you where you need to be. Hoyt03
Re: t/c omega w/nikon bdc This is one reason I did not shell out all those big bucks for that Omega scope. No two guns are the exact same, how can these fixed dots compensate for that. Plus my gun shoots great with 100 gr why should I have to shoot 150 just for the scope. I have a regular scope and just have to hold higer for those longer shots. I guess you will just have to take what the scope gives you and maybe your 250 dot will now be your 300 dot, make your own yardages, thats alot to remember though,
