Guest tarbaby
This may be kind of a dumb question but being this late in the season all the crops around my area are all harvested and plowed under... except for a 100 field of milo... its more than dried up but is all still standing... my question is will the deer feed on it heavily or try to find something a little softer to feed on... im not sure what to do but i only have till the end of the year for a buck and im runnin out of time. Guest KSNimrod
Re: Deer on Milo? I've seen deer eat on milo as long as it stands. I'm not too far down the road from you. (Abilene) I'd imagine if you set up between a bedding area and that milo field you'll get a chance.
Hillbilly
Re: Deer on Milo? One time I went hunting for rabbits near a small milo field. We jumped 3 big bucks out of their, they were companied by a lot of does. I think 7 or 8 does. They were bedding down on a windy day. Milo can be pretty thick, and with food there in the milo field they don't have to go too far to feed.
