woodsman2230
My dad shot a nice 7 point this morning and I saw some does....which is unusual because I usualy never see anything where I hunt. People were shooting all over the place at pretty much anything that walked by them. I think one guy shot a buck, found that it wasnt legal and just left it there!! Anyone else have any luck? shockwave
Re: Any luck in PA? I saw a ton of deer, They moved all day here. I ended up getting a decent 8 point 2:30 this afternoon, beleive it or not chasing does, lip curl and all. I was getting ready to pop one of the does he was chasing, until i caught antlers behind her, i should have pics up in a day or so. Between 4 of us we ended up getting 7 deer, 2 eight points and a scrawny 6, and 4 does..
007hunter
Re: Any luck in PA? I only saw 2 doe and they busted me before I could get a shot. My dad saw about 20 or so. He couldn't get a shot at any of them. A large group of them came through but he couldn't shoot because another hunter was in the way...guess thats the way it is sometimes... bghunter777
Re: Any luck in PA? In all there were 7 in our group hunting. I was not hunting bc I had filled my tags in archery I took a friend out. we saw around 30 deer only 1 buck it was a 10pt prob 120 class he was not able to get a shot but did end up taking a doe. there were 3 bucks taken and 1 coyote out of the 7 one buck was about a 130 8pt a 105 10pt and a broken rack 10 that will not score well. the gentlmen that shot the coyote is a true trophy hunter and passed on 2 130 class bucks early in the day. several other nice bucks were seen but none harvested. a few of them after a deer had already been taken ect. buckbuster11
Re: Any luck in PA? I have this whole first week off, and even though I shot my buck in archery I've been all day every day pretty much so far looking for doe and putting on drives for others. I've been everywhere these first 3 days. So far I've noticed the deer numbers seem to be way down (big surprise). I've seen very few buck, and not a single person that I have hunted with so far (which is a good many people) including myself have seen a legal one. Locally, the buck kill seems to be a little below average compared to most years although there have been a few pretty nice ones taken around the area. Hopefully this cold front will get things going a little bit towards the end of the week.
