Guest DBaker
Hello Everyone, I am new to hunting and have decided to start with Muzzleloading. I have read Bluelk's chapters and still have a few questions. Flints, Side's, In-Line's shoot each can each of the projectiles (balls, powerbelt bullets, sabots)? Also, I will be begin hunting when I return home (Washington State). They do not allow 209 to be used. Are 209 a type of percussion? Anyone from the state of Washington to give me some ideas on what ML you use? Thanks!

Guest DBaker
Re: A few different questions... Thanks for the link GWS answer my questions! Back to the last question I had. 209 in the state of Washington are not allowed although other In-line muzzleloaders are. What are the other In-line muzzleloaders and are they worth it? johnf
Re: A few different questions... I've used #11 for 5 years and have never had a failure. I would see if you could find an in-line that uses #11's and get it. I've got a Thompson Scout and love the performance I get out of it. Guest DBaker
Re: A few different questions... Okay, older in-line uses to use #11 before the 209 came around? I would guess that #11 In-lines are now hard to come by?
johnf
Re: A few different questions... I got on cabelas and bass pro and couldn't find a single in-line that uses #11. I would start looking in pawn shops.
AJ
Re: A few different questions... The TC Black Diamond, Knight Wolverine, Remington 700ML, are a few that offer #11 percussion caps or even better is the musket caps. I prefer them over the 209 primers. I shoot them in my Rem 700ML, and I shot them in my TC Black Diamond. Wal Mart carries the musket caps also, so its not hard to get them. Guest Xen
Re: A few different questions... a lot of times you can change the nipple and breech plug to convert from a 209 primer to the caps, mostly depends on the gun
