Please give me some information on some rifles and the reason you like this rifle so much. This is going to be my christmas gift from me to me. Ha Ha Ha smile.giflaugh.gifwink.gifgrin.gif

Well...you already have the most versatile caliber going. Any thought to buying a scattergun? You can sure extend your hunting season with one of those because there are so many more critters you can put on your table using fine shot.

Of course, shotguns are looked upon in some circles as being what one uses when they can't hit Jack with a rifle, LOL.

I like old school lever guns by Marlin and Winchester in .35, .444, and 45/70 for bear depending on how you hunt. We use dogs and tree the bears. Shots are close initially but fast follow-ups with instant sight picture can be important if the brear drops and runs. These lever guns are great for this kind of hunting.

For deer rilfes I like fast and flat. Normally smaller bullets at laser speeds. 243 to 270. I am a huge fan of Browning A bolts and most of the Savage rifles in these calibers. If price is an issue you cannot go wrong with a Savage.

Looks like you should buy two rifles!

Deer rifles in PA get used a whole 2 weeks out of the year. You already have one of best caliber deer rifles around. I'd stick with the rifle you have and possible buy an inline muzzelloader for early season, or flintlock for late season. If you are dead set on putting a new rifle in your arsenal, I would get a Remington model 700 in 270 or 30-06
