Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Pant or Bibs... i don't have any experience with those sorry, but for the first question...i wear pants from the opening of bow season (oct 1st here) until the gun opener(nov 15th)..that is when we head to the U.P. here in michigan and it is usually a little colder up there than down here....if it helps...i bought some redhead mountain stalker elite bibs from bass pro right before heading up..and though the weather wasn't as cold as it usually is up there...it was still in the 30s during the early morning and got cold when it got dark...all i wore underneath was a pair of shorts and i wasn't even the slightest bit cold.. johnf
Re: Pant or Bibs... Bibs from Oct. 1st on. When it gets cold I wear insullated bibs. 2 reason. 1. My bibs have a lot of pockets so I don't carry any kind of fanny pack or back pack. 2. When it's cold I hate to have that spot just above the belt line on my back to get cold. That doesn't happen when you wearing bibs. What happens when nature calls? Depends........... ............. ............. ........... LifeNRA
Re: Pant or Bibs... I have the Cabela's MTO50 Whitetail Extreme parka and bibs. I will not own anything else ever again! The parka is the 7-in-1 kind. Fully gore-tex and insulated. I sat in 10 inches of snow a few years ago and never got wet or cold! I get cold very easy too! Guest DBaker
Re: Pant or Bibs... I sure hope so for th e price of those Life. I do not think I will be able to spend that much on camo gear but I am currently looking at the Cabela's Fleece Dry-Plus (p.164 of Christmas 2006 Master Catalog) and the Cabela's Dry-Plus Silent Suede (p.167) and Cabela's Rain/Snow Exhancge (p.168). Shaun_300
Re: Pant or Bibs... During Rifle season I wear jeans underneath my cotton camo pants. Sometimes with long underwear, depending on the temp. Bow season runs into December, some mornings it'll be -25 or -30, so those mornings I wear long underwear (1 or 2 pairs), cotton track pants, cotton camo pants, then my snowpants (which are bibs) overtop of that. GWSmith
Re: Pant or Bibs... Early Bow Season = Pants + T-shirt Later in the Season = Coveralls COLD Season = Union Suit, 2 layers of Sweatpants and Sweatshirts, Coveralls, AND Insulated Bibs I like Coveralls and Bibs for the reasons that if I bend over or while climbing the cold air does not rush up my back...I dont have to keep tucking them back in
Widowmaker
Re: Pant or Bibs... I wear scent lok pants and savana shirt during the bow season and then during gun seaason when it's cold out I turn to my Cabelas MT050 whitetail extreme bibs and parka coat with scent lok. They are great!!
Straight Shooter
Re: Pant or Bibs... Bibs all the way around, I like the amount of cargo pockets on them and they are the same price as pants. I have insulated Bibs for cold weather also, cover-alls are just t restrictive when you are sitting. You can also dress in layers much better with bibs and coat, you can't take half of your cover-alls off. JMO
Guest lovinbowhuntin247365
Re: Pant or Bibs... im defniitely a bibs person al around ... i dont like the coveralls, cuz when i sit down, they get really tight and its hard for me to move my arms. so, i wear bibs, cuz that way i can move my arms, and my lower back dont get cold sittin!!! LifeNRA
Re: Pant or Bibs... I owned this set now about 5-6 years, and they still look good as new. I expect to have these for a long time yet. When I think back to all the money I have spent over the past 25 years on cold weather clothing, that was NOT water proof! Plus the rain suits to go over top of them! I would have had the money three over by now! I know there not cheap, but they last and work great! I just wished I would have gotten this clothing sooner! EKYhunter
Re: Pant or Bibs... I reaaly like bibs. In early bow season and Spring turkey I use Walls uninsulated Chamois and Cabelas silent hide bibs in HD Green. Later on when it's a little cooler I have Walls bibs in HD Grey which I can use light layers under. When it's really cold like now or sometimes in rifle season, I have the Browning Hydro Fleece Pro insulated bibs and Parka. They work great. I would like to try the Cabelas Berber Fleece insulated bibs and parka for bowhunting though.

Guest Predator26
Re: Pant or Bibs... I don't like bips, very uncomfortable to me, and warmth isn't really an issue. I've been comfortable in -20 with my Cabelas Whitetail Extreme MT050 parka/pants combo, and plus I wear an insulated base layer also made by Cabelas.
