mule659
I have decided to take up squirrel hunting with my bow. It is a great challenge and provides great target practice. I shot these two earlier this year. The first one at 17 yards the second at 22 yards. The second one got really messed up by the muzzy and makes for kind of a gross pic...sorry everybobdy. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: not a deer but... Congrats on the treerats. Definitely a challenge with the bow. I think I'd switch from a broadhead to a judo point for that!
Bowtech_archer07
Re: not a deer but... Really cool. I've thought about shooting them with my bow, but can't get a target tip arrow knocked w/o them seein me or scurryin away. Congrats!!! Guest psefirestormlite
Re: not a deer but... I'm two for three with squirrels this year, both past 25 yards. It's great practice and an accomplishment to get a little critter like that. Just try to make a good shot b/c those little suckers will take off with your arrow if you make a bad shot. DU_man_84
Re: not a deer but... yep i shoot squirrels from the treestand, every year i take 2 extra arrows with old broadheads from the following year and use them for squirrels
Guest matthews32
Re: not a deer but... ive killed 3 squirrels with my bow.It definately is a challenge. I wouldny use a broadhead. i would either use a judo point or i use to use a field tip.

arrow32
Re: not a deer but... Its fun to fling an arrow at them while on stand on those boring days. Just got to be fast sometimes.
Guest Mathews_Pa_Bowhunter
Re: not a deer but... I'VE MISSED 4 OF THOSE SUCKERS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. I'VE TRASHED EACH ARROW HITTING A ROOT OR A TREE. IT HAS GOTTEN EXPENSIVE REPLACING THE ARROWS / BROADHEAD, SO NOW I JUST WATCH THEM SCURRY AROUND MY STAND. SOONER OR LATER I'LL GET A JUNO POINT THEN THEY ARE IN TROUBLE.

Guest psefirestormlite
Re: not a deer but... try a jodo head ($6 for two)... they can take a lot of beating and they shoot just like a field point

wtnhunt
Re: not a deer but... Nice shooting. Have plenty of squirrels around, but have never attempted to shoot one with the bow, dont want to screw up an arrow.

Guest fishexp242
Re: not a deer but... I've missed a bunch of squirrels, but have gotten a rabbit, a coyote and a bobcat, all in the pursuit of deer. Sure adds to the fun, to be able to branch out.
