not a deer but...

I have decided to take up squirrel hunting with my bow. It is a great challenge and provides great target practice. I shot these two earlier this year. The first one at 17 yards the second at 22 yards. The second one got really messed up by the muzzy and makes for kind of a gross pic...sorry everybobdy. I'm two for three with squirrels this year, both past 25 yards. It's great practice and an accomplishment to get a little critter like that. Just try to make a good shot b/c those little suckers will take off with your arrow if you make a bad shot.

I'VE MISSED 4 OF THOSE SUCKERS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. I'VE TRASHED EACH ARROW HITTING A ROOT OR A TREE. IT HAS GOTTEN EXPENSIVE REPLACING THE ARROWS / BROADHEAD, SO NOW I JUST WATCH THEM SCURRY AROUND MY STAND.

SOONER OR LATER I'LL GET A JUNO POINT THEN THEY ARE IN TROUBLE.

I've missed a bunch of squirrels, but have gotten a rabbit, a coyote and a bobcat, all in the pursuit of deer. Sure adds to the fun, to be able to branch out.
