Jeramie
Re: Best Rubber Boots [ QUOTE ] I have the Lacrosse Alpha Burly's and love them. Mine are non insulated but they make them in 1000. Definately recommend them. [/ QUOTE ] I agree 100%. I asked the same question a while back. Everyone told me to go with the Lacross. I didnt get the insulated either. It doesnt get cold enough here. I can slip on wool socks and be fine. Regardless, Ive owned many pairs of rubber boots (grew up on a ranch) and these fit 10x better then any ive ever had. I think uninsulated was something like $50 and the insulated was just over $100. Honestly, it would be worth every penny.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Best Rubber Boots I have some Rocky's in 1000 gram called Buckstalkers and I love them. They keep my feet warm and dry. Got them for around $40.00 when Gander Mountain was blowing them out a few years back!
huntrman
Re: Best Rubber Boots I have both the insulated and uninsulated Lacrosse Alphaburly and Burly's and I can honestly say, these 2 pairs of rubber boots are the best I've ever owned. Great quality, great fit and definitely keep my feet warm. I recommend them 100% to anyone.
Mach1
Re: Best Rubber Boots I've got experience with the Red Head 1000, Rockys 1000, and LaCrosse AB 1200 and the LaCrosse are BY FAR a better quality boot than the other two. The Rockys got holes in them, not once, but twice. The Red Heads were decent, but my feet got cold in them too fast. The LaCrosse AB's are worth every penny and I will never own another brand of rubber boot.

I've had mine for 3 years, and I've put some serious miles on them. From here in Oklahoma to Alaska to Argentina. They are my do anything and everything boots. Highly, highly recommended!!!! BAMABUCKS
Re: Best Rubber Boots I see the majority of people love the LaCrosse Boots...I agree they are some great wearing boots, but the ones I had (2 pair) split on top of the foot where the boot flexes when you step. I am currently wearing Muck Boots and love the fit just as much. They have actually kept my feet warmer also...I believe they have 1200 grams instead of the 800 the LaCrosse had. I have been wearing them now for 2 years with no problems. Again, I really liked the LaCrosse, but couldn't keep them from splitting. VTbowman
Re: Best Rubber Boots [ QUOTE ] Another vote for LaCrosse. [/ QUOTE ] Same here. I got the 1000 gram and paid about $110 with tax in VT. I use them from early bow season when it can be 60s to December season when it can be below zero. I use a sigle pair of 100% polypropalene socks under a single pair of 70% wool socks and the boots. Nothing else and I have had zero warth issues this year. Guest joeky
Re: Best Rubber Boots I can't wear rubber boots because my feet are too narrow and my socks would be at my toes after about twenty steps. I purchased from Tractor Supply these thin rubber boots that you pull over your hunting boots. Seem to work real well, also like the compfort of my boots with the scent protection from the rubber ones.
Strut10
Re: Best Rubber Boots I got a pair of 1000 gram ankle-fit Brownings before this season started. I have a lot of miles on them by now and rate them VERY highly. About $50 cheaper than the Alpha Burlys, too.
Guest Danbo
Re: Best Rubber Boots lacrosse 800grams. 19" high. Warm to 25-30C. After that, put the wool lined boots on.
Straight Shooter
Re: Best Rubber Boots Ladcrosse, I've got three pair of the Alpha Burly Sports in the un-isulated, 1,000, and 1,500 gram. Best hunting boots I've ever owned, scent free, and as comfortable as tennis shoes.
