Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Heard about this on the radio this morning... The gist of that article is relevant, Christmas as a religious holiday IS slowly being replaced by more secular offerings. But in this particular instance I believe your news is outdated. That article is from 2005 and my understanding is that as of this year, Wal Mart's official policy is to allow the Christmas references back into it's stores. I guess all that started down in the US last year, now Canada's stores are doing it this year. Didn't see the date on the article.
gone_postal
Re: Heard about this on the radio this morning... Shaun..the Ashland Wal-Mart is really pushing the "Merry Christmas" theme this year.....heard the traditional church carols playing yesterday while Martin and I were there. We also noticed signs everywhere proclaiming "Merry Christmas' all around the store...it was nice to see.....the people have spoken and Wal Mart finally wised up and listened. SUGARKAHNE
Re: Heard about this on the radio this morning... Yeah, I even heard a few employees telling the customers "Merry Christmas." What a nice change from "Happy Holidays."
