Airman312 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Share Posted November 29, 2006 Our daughter will be 17 yrs. old Dec. 31 and all her life she has been in and out of Johns Hopkins Hospital and has to take piles of meds. at least twice a day...you see, when she was just shy of being a year old, she had open heart surgury which did not work out and soon afterwards she had a heart transplant. 15 years later, all the anti-rejection drugs have taken out both of her kidneys, which put her on PD Dyalisis for several months. July 18, 2005, my father donated one of his kidneys for her kidney transplant. Now here we are about 16 months later and there seems to be some annoying rejection going on, meaning that there has been some changes in her blood that will not stabilize with meds. We leave early tomorrow morning for Hopkins probably for a few days for testing and more blood work. We are praying the Doc's will find the cause and be able to treat with meds.
