ousoonerfan22
With this storm coming through I'm anxious to see if the deer will start hammering this food plot down the hill from my parents house, hopefully mom can watch them from the patio window. The deer haven't been eating that much corn there this week either, maybe gun season being open has them hiding near the river. Now on my uncle's property the deer and turkeys are eating the corn now but I don't have any plots there because of the cattle. FSU_Seminole
Re: ice/snow storm If Ok looks anything like what I just saw on TV in Missouri the deer should hammer that plot. It looks like a mess in Missouri right now with a very bad ice & snow storm.
bfletch7441
Re: ice/snow storm My plots were buried in snow and ice all weekend, so there isn't a track in them. Hopefully when the snow melts off, they'll get out there though. Ben

LETMGROW
Re: ice/snow storm Dont worry. Your deer are just in a shock state. Up here they take it in stride LOL! The first 1 or 2 snowfalls screw our deer up also. They will come around soon.
ousoonerfan22
Re: ice/snow storm Just got back from Kansas and rode the fourwheeler around my parents property and there is not a deer track on the place.Since the opening week of gun season they have not crossed this property,I thought for sure this cold spell would have them on the plot and eating the corn again. Somebody else must be feeding them.

LETMGROW
Re: ice/snow storm SEE? I wouldn't lie to you! The first snow really shell shocks those critters. They will get used to it.
Thayer
Re: ice/snow storm I was going to the lease when the storm rolled in...bad stuff man... We still have a few without power. Pretty bad when you lose half of a city's, county's, and rural area's power. Thank god for all you out of state electrical workers that came in to help. God Bless you! The deer did move quite alot about two days after the storm...guess they got hungry. I even had two does in my back yard looking for a travel corridor... It is all about the food fellas...see a need, fill a need..they will search for any food sources after a day or two...I think the does were attracted to the bird feeders.
