That HS scents stuff is worthless in my mind.

Why is that? Bad experience with their products?

I use HS Scent-A-Way Plus Fresh Earth Detergent and am very happy with the results. I've been using the entire Scent-A-Way system for two years now...detergent, shower, sprays, storage, travelbag...every deer I've seen hasn't been alarmed. Sure there might have been deer that I never saw that spooked, but ever whitetail I've seen in the last two years hasn't busted me by sight or smell.

OK guys let me clear this up, I too use HS scent products and have great success with those like you all said. I was ONLY referring to the deodorant not doing that great of a job, its almost paste like and just doesnt seem to work well for me.

I agree the scent system work, but I will be looking elsewhere for deodorant.

I have been using HS Scent away products for years and have had great luck with it. Last year I started using Dead Down Winds...It's pricey I do have to admit, but it works well also...

I fill like any thing out there will work great as long as you use it right...

I buy the speed stick sent free. This works great and it is alot cheaper. I think it is the same stuff just repackaged and different price tag. This will only get you so far. You have to do the rest to help stay scent free. You will never be totally scent free. I dont buy all the gimmicks. I get a normal shower with whatever is in the shower and normal shampoo. After I sprinkle baking soda all over my hair and body, rub it in and shower it off. Im good to go. I did make my own spray to spray down after I get off of my 4 wheeler. The only thing I buy is some oak scent to spray on my boots. I put a box of baking soda in my laundry for my cloths. (No soap) Thats it. I get as close as anyone to downwind deer. I started out hunting and didnt have a lot of money so I addapted and even now 35 years later it still works. Alot of technology has come and gone but I still cant find anything better. I do get a little lazy every now and then and was thinking of a carbon suit. grin.gif

SpeedStik Unscented has less smell to it then the HS stuff. I have both and had 4 different people, hunters and nonhunters, smell both (from the stick not my pits-LOL) and we all decided the Speed Stik has less smell to it.

I use the SpeedStik everytime over the HS.

Cheaper too.

The H.S stuff works fine for me,but is useless for my cousin.I'm not sure if he just sweats more or what the deal is,but at deer camp he has to go into town almost every night to take a shower or he gets pretty ripe.I'll have to tell him about the Speed Stik,Ban,and Sure to try out.
