Grim Reaper razor cuts! They are absolutely incredible. I shot a doe this season that was quartering away really hard. She had her opposite leg extended and when the broad head exited it still had enough gusto and was still sharp enough to slice the forearm to the bone. There awesome. And they fly just like my field points.

the jak hammers leave amazing exit holes, but i can shoot a quarter at 25 yards with a Reaper ... and i dont use a sight pin either, so thats sayin something. i would go with the reapers, cuz they dont need rubber bands, they stay sharper longer, and theyre accurate ... it dont matter how big of an exit hole you got if you have the shot placement! and ill tell you, the grim reaper gets an A+ on shot placement!!

Re: Best Mechanical Broadhead

I'm not a big mechanical fan, but if I did shoot them on a hunt this year. I'd have to go with a head that the blades deployed by sliding back, instead of rolling back. This rolling back action takes alot of energy away from the arrow and reducing the penetration. I took my first deer with a mechanical this year which was a Montec Tekan II. It did it's job but I wasn't impressed enough to ever switch from my Muzzy's. In short, I'd recommend any of these heads- Tekan II, Rocky Mountain XP3, Satelite Deadringers especially if your shooting low draw weight on your bow. JMO
