markyj987
Best Buy is one of the retailers not permitting it's employees to return "Merry Christmas" to its customers. Has anyone else heard this--and if so, it is influencing your shopping decisions? I just heard of this on Friday and will not be shopping there. (I'm not a big Best Buy fan for other reasons--but this means I definitely won't shop there for anything.)
markyj987
Re: Returning \"Merry Christmas\" I couldn't remember the name when I posted this, but there is an organization that is informing us which companies are supporting the celebration of Christmas...and those that are not. The organization is Liberty Counsel and they have a "Naughty" and "Nice" list of retailers.

Bushman
Re: Returning \"Merry Christmas\" Unbelievable! Where does it stop. Brings a quote to mind "If you value everything, you value nothing." Somebody has got to take a stand. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with horst. As much as I disagree with it, it wouldn't stop me from shopping there. I'm not going to let other people influence what I believe. wtnhunt
Re: Returning \"Merry Christmas\" Had not heard that Mark. Dont shop at best buy anyways, but honestly dont usually have much conversation with the people at the stores when I do shop, so would really kind of also have to agree with Chris here. markyj987
Re: Returning \"Merry Christmas\" To me, it's not the lady checking me out at the counter...what bothers me is this company, and many others, making a KILLING off of people shopping for CHRISTMAS....and won't even let employees return the greeting. Their corporate policy is that lack of acknowledging Christmas is in the interest of promoting "diversity." Umm...ok. Not only is it hypocritical, but it just doesn't make sense...frankly, it's silly.
