I dream of elk someday. We know most of those but does anyone like to hunt small game? I enjoy rabbits and coons. There is nothing like watching a good dog work! HuntnMa Posted December 3, 2006 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 Re: What ya like to hunt? i love it all.my passion is turkey hunting...i started hunting ducks and squirrels, then it expanded to turkey and deer/hog, i dont do much duck hunting anymore..i did go out this weekend and got some squirrels but i gave them to the guy i was hunting with sein' he just got one,lol........he hates hunting with me,lol..... dont get to see dogs working much , other than hog dogs and that is amazing...... When i lived in New Jersey i used to love to go small game hunting all the time mainly rabbits. I hunted with a few guys from work that had beagles and we had a blast. Yep nothing like a good rabbit dog. Since moving to upstate NY i like hunting whitetails and just started into turkey hunting. I hope to do a single year slam with my bow. I've just got to get a place to hunt in Fl. I am getting meriams in Montana and rios in Texas. And of course Easterns are here at home. But they are by far the biggest challenge! If they could smell you would never get one! I love hunting them. They have the best eyesight of anything you have ever seen. Andrea...you should try turkey hunting....there is nothing that even comes close to turkey hunting IMO....when he's out there dancing and gobbling, doing his thing, coming in, he's there at 10-12 yds.or even closer just spitting and drumming, Good Lord,help me, lol.......there is nothing that even comes close...... even just seeing them come in and them busting you or them hanging up is exciting... I am going to a place called Brazos Archery outfitters for the weekend with some close friends on Team Frady's Pro Staff. It is a archery only outfitter. It's all low fence from what I understand. I hope to get a rio there and then go to montana for my meriam. I have to find a place in FL to get my Osceola. I may not be able to afford it in a year but I want to get them all with a bow. There is some great turkey hunting in Florida too. Personally whitetails are my favorite, but the spring turkeys are quite a challenge, and there isw nothing like hearing that first close gobble in the spring. I hunt what ever is in season turkey,whitetails,hogs, small game fox squirrlel and bird hunting is fun as well like ducks and geese and I love to hunt period what ever I can, when I can.One day I would like to get an bear or elk or head off to a different country to hunt for exotic animals.
