WaCoyote
I e-mailed barnes as I could not find my chosen Bobcat, Coyote bullet. If you use the VLC or the Varminator you better buy them up right away or you'll be stuck. I get 1 hole groups with the 40 grn VLC and they've been discontinued. Here's the e-mail I got. [ QUOTE ] The VLC Bullets were discontinued in 2005. The VarminAtor Bullets (un-coated VLCs) have been discontinued this year for an improved version that is more explosive. The Varmint Grenade will be released sometime after the first of the new year. These will be offered in 36 grain weight. You will need to start from scratch for establishing a load for you rifle. Guest ronin
Re: If you load Barnes, READ That sucks! Barnes is starting to piss me off. I love their bullets but they keep putting new stuff out with no load information then make everything else that is published hard to get. I have had huge success with their VLC's and actually prefer them over the TSX in certain loads.

[/ QUOTE ] Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm all for new stuff but do they have to get rid of everything else? Heck, three years ago they were trying to make us think that there coating was the "end all be all" of shooting. Now they are getting rid of it altogether?? Kind of makes a guy wonder. AJ
Re: If you load Barnes, READ When I do some load development and I find a combo I like, I buy 500-1000 bullets and stock up. That way if the company changes something in a year or two, I don't care. By the time I am out of bulles, who knows what may be on the market. Guest ronin
Re: If you load Barnes, READ I have seen stupid business practices like this with other companies in the past and they usually spelled the same thing, money problems. I really hope that is not the case.
