10acboy
I was wondering if I could ask you all for some help. I have a buddy that would like to begin to hunt, but he has no idea where to start and I told him I knew a place that has all the info - REALTREE Anyway he lives in MD, has never hunted and is probably 30 years old. I would like to find him as much info as possible about everything from field dressing instructions, shot locations, meat cutters in MD, places to hunt, hunting regs. Pretty much anything that you all think would help or at least provide him with some information. I really appreciate it and thank you. Guest Clay008
Re: Need some help Invite him down for a hunt in the great state of Virginia. He does not need a license to tag along with you. Maybe you will get a chance to kill something and you can show him how it all works. JimPic
Re: Need some help i don't know if ur buddy has ever been really exposed to guns and bows or not--but it would probably be a good idea for him to contact the Md DNR and get info about taking some kind of hunter safety course 1st.The DNR probably has tons of info that he's looking for also
sskybnd
Re: Need some help i agree with jim, on a hunter saftey, but being a person thats never hunted before. 10acboy i think you should take him under your wing for a yr or two. and show him what you know about it, along with him reading as much as he can find, but hands on experience well do him so much better,
doughboy1956
Re: Need some help I would tell him to find some hunters in his area that would be willing to take him on some different kinds of hunts. He might like one more then the other or might not like it at all. If he likes it then take any hunter safety course in his location. Realtree is a must do.
