firefighter
This saturday is the final day of gun season here. I'm heading out friday and a cold front that is suppose to bring snow showers to the mountains tonight will bring strong winds with it. would it make sense to hit the slopes with less wind and more sun ? Gonna get into the low teens tonight........

Guest firelt
Re: Cold front F/F i couldn't agree more, i'm going to try sitting in a ravine next to some thick stuff, which is about 200 yards from a corn field. Hopefully something will show it's face. Friday is the last day for me, since sat is my shift. I just found out that i can't go friday morning since i have to meet the FC in the am. But as soon as i'm done i'm heading to the woods
wtnhunt
Re: Cold front Good luck. Our cows and horses have been down in the low area behind the barns here all morning to keep out of the high north winds we are having with this front moving through right now. Bet deer are probably also trying to stay out of the winds.
firefighter
Re: Cold front I plan on sitting as long as i can, but if it starts to get too cold, i was thinking of doing some stalking. with the wind howling i should be able to sneak around even if the leaves are crunchy. i Just hope its not too windy... definately going to be a layer clothes day.
