RTF
If mother nature gets her act together we should have good ice by the time deer season is over, late this month. Right now is perfect for ice making, but a warm up next week will put the brakes on. I wanna go ice fishing !

birddog
Re: Come on Ice Gods Got out last night for the first time of the season, had 4" in some places and 7" in most others. Gotta love chasing fish through the ice!
muggs
Re: Come on Ice Gods I can't wait. Ice can be hit or miss here in Ohio, but we're usually on 12" my early February. Last year I was on 8" before Christmas, and then it warmed up and we never did get fishable ice again. Sure hope that's not the case this year. I plan on heading out on Erie for the first time ever. Shaun_300
Re: Come on Ice Gods Bring on the ice! The lakes should be freezing up pretty soon here, as long as the stupid wind stops!
DU_man_84
Re: Come on Ice Gods we went to go ice fishing at one of our state park ponds that has some good ice on it, but when we got there we had forgotten it was our muzzeloader season, so nobody but hunters allowed in the park so we packed it up and headed home, and now its suppose to warm up here so i dont know if we'll be able to go next week, i got the bug real bad though
RTF
Re: Come on Ice Gods Yes, mild weather will return to the mid west and northeast next week, but come Christmas we will be in a deep freeze once again.
Hoyt03
Re: Come on Ice Gods I lost interest in the ice this year. Both of my local lakes have been drained for repair type issues. I will probaly not go this year. My GF will be alot happier with that decision

muggs
Re: Come on Ice Gods We just got a serious warm spell here. Ponds were skimmed over the past few days but they're wide open right now. I don't think we'll be out with the shanty until late January.
