Squirrelhunter91
Anybody use them and how have they performed? Are they easy to tune? I am interested in shooting them for next year and I would like to know if anyone used them this year and if they are satisfied. I know you really can't go wrong with anything Muzzy, but I'm still just wondering. Also, if you can, please post pics of entry/exit wounds. Thanks. boomer
Re: Muzzy MX-4\'s I have used them and only shot 1 doe so far with them she only went 40yrds. I loved the way they worked. They performed just like my field points. Just can't wait to try them this spring on turkeys. Don't have a close up of the exit wound. Tony
Re: Muzzy MX-4\'s i had a hard time getting the Muzzy 4 blades to tune to my setup. i went back to my old standby Muzzy 3 blade 75s and bingo, dead on and easy to tune. i have no idea why they were so hard to tune. but i think it might have been the Blazers vanes on the rear end. i think you would have to shoot a little longer fletch to maybe help stabilize that 4th blade. i love my Muzzys, i just couldnt figure out why the 4 bladers flew so erractic past 30 yards. Straight Shooter
Re: Muzzy MX-4\'s Tony-that extra 25 grains onthe tip of the shaft might be throwing your FOC off just enough to affect the flight out that far. I have the same problem with the 110 3-blade, that why I've stuck with the 75's for the last 4 years. Joe-I'd say if your shooting a 100 grain head now, that you shouldn't have much of a problem getting them to fly or tune.
Chrud
Re: Muzzy MX-4\'s I haven't killed anything with them, but the shoot great for me. I was shooting regular Muzzy 100 4-blades and there wasn't any difference in flight between the two.

[/ QUOTE ] you know that could have been the problem. it was either that or i needed 4 inch fletch. anyways im not switching any more. i have found what works really well for my setup. good luck with your setup joe.
