muggs
Congrats to Troy Smith. First Buckeye to win it since Eddie George. I gotta say, OSU sports is everywhere. btw people- the whole kid from a rough city montage ESPN used for Smith's background story was a little misleading. Smith started his high school career at St. Ignatius, a private, expensive Catholic school that's a football powerhouse. Anyway, how many shots of graffitti and litter can you find to make a city look bad. I understand ESPN needs to create some kind of story...obviously the Golden Boy Quinn vs. the kid who turned his life around and came out of the projects...I just wish they would have based it more in reality. Tominator
Re: 216- Heismann Yep, congrats to Troy. Eric--how much of that tuition do you think Troy's mom paid? I was surprised at the margin, and more surprised to see Golden Boy #2 was actually came in 3rd.
KSBOWHUNTER
Re: 216- Heismann Congrats to Troy. But I think the Heisman has become more of a publicity contest than an award that goes to the best college athlete. With that being said, I'd like to start the 2007 Heisman race by saying "D-MAC for the Heisman 2007".
toddyboman
Re: 216- Heismann Congrats to Troy. But this year was the worst. There was no doubt who was going to win. And I agree with KSBOWHUNTER seems the Heisman is become a publicity contest.

muggs
Re: 216- Heismann Undefeated against his biggest rival. Only 3 losses in 3 years as a starter. An excellent TD-INT ratio, lead his team to a National Championship, and an flat out winner. I think the award went to who it should have this year. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: 216- Heismann what got me was ESPN still bring up his trouble from 2 years ago and taking cash.......that will never seem to go away and it shouldn't! He took money, that is against the rules he should have know better!!
