EKYhunter Posted December 15, 2004 Report Share Posted December 15, 2004 I have a 20" fully rifiled barrel from Hastings on an 870 with a scope. It shoots very well and I've taken deer with it. If I were going to buy a new one I think I'd go with the 26" heavy barrel with the cantilever mount. 26" will give better velocity and should be more accurate. Hastings does make good barrels. I live in a rifle state and haven't used the slug gun in a while. I've used it previously in Ohio and at Ft. Knox here in KY. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
