dartonman
I know several people that load them up and are ready to shoot in the blind...but never store it due to stress on the limbs, and danger to it going off accidentally.....I honestly think, no device can hold for 24 hours with that much pressure on it............have a great remainder of the season buddy...............al
popgun
Re: crossbow question I think this is more of a safety issue than anything else. My crossbow stays in the ready position for as long as eight hours at a time before being fired. Unintentional dry-fires are very uncommon with the safety features build into most all the new modern crossbows. Of course if a string was to break while in the ready position it could cause damage to the bow as well as the shooter. I think anything that is drawn back to 150 lbs.or more, and held there for several hours should be thoroughly and often inspected. I have had my crossbow for about four years now, and have had very few problems or worries with it. .....popgun
