nolanspawn
I have been trying to do alot of research and get whats the best bang for the buck when it comes to DIGITAL trail/scouting cameras. I havent been able to come to a decision so I wanted you guys to give me your inputs. Right now Cuddeback is on the top of my list. So lets here those recommendations. dogdoc
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca i've never had a cuddeback but I have heard a lot of negative feedback on their new digital camera. You might do a search here---there was a recent post where some people were having problems with battery life, bad seals on the case, and the camera not sending image to the flash card. I have 3 Leaf River cameras and another one on the way. I have been very pleased with the LR and their customer service is absolutely outstanding. Before you buy you might check with KTMMike (member here) as he sells both the Leaf River and the Cuddeback and has very good prices. good luck todd
wtnhunt
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca Welcome to the forums. Would not suggest a cudde over a leaf river. Leaf river in the commercial cams would be my first choice. Would also follow Todd's advice and check with KTMMIKE.
joeyd50
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca I own 2 LR IR cameras, these are my first choice, I also have a 1.3 Cuddeback, very fast trigger but takes over a minute to wright picture to memory card. My Leaf River can take 3 pictures in one minute. Good Luck Joe
nolanspawn
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca It just seems as though the Cuddebacks picture quality far exceeds that of Leaf River
IowaDeerHunter
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca Leaf River all the way, only thing better bout the Cuddeback is the faster trigger speed. But I also haven't owned a Cuddeback so I do not know much about them. I do own three leaf rivers though and must say they are great! Tom2008
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca I really like the cuddeback. Have owned one for 2 years and it works great still. Really fast trigger speed and it puts out some great pictures. Check a few of my posts in this forum and you will see.

wtnhunt
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca [ QUOTE ] It just seems as though the Cuddebacks picture quality far exceeds that of Leaf River [/ QUOTE ] Dont know about this. I dont think I have ever set my lr cam to the highest possible resolution setting as I am not looking to print out the pics. Would imagine the new lr 6.1 takes some pretty high quality photos set at its max resolution setting.

Hoyt03
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca How about a stealth wildview 2.0. It's under 100 bucks. The pics might not be the absolute greatest out there but who really cares it does fine. If its good enough to show you whats walking around out there that's all that matters. wtnhunt
Re: Recommendations for Trail/Scouting Camerca Here is one of my all time favorites from my leaf river model dc2bu, and this was taken on the low resolution setting.
