huntermq32
Re: Secondary Rut I saw 3 freshend scrapes yesterday in grundy county. It is hard to say what the deer are up to I have seen deer chasing in one hunting spot then 10 miles to the other and bucks are in post rut winter survival mode were they are feeding realy heavy and don't even look at the does. I would look for the late bloomers to come into estress any time. I have seen a buck breeding a doe as late as march 4 in
Smitteken
Re: Secondary Rut I hunted Friday morning and saw 15 does. They were grouped up for the most part. No bucks though. I killed a young doe, but she didn't seem to be in estrous, nor did it look like she had been yet. Although on the drag out I saw a handfull of fresh scrapes. So maybe its close.
