swampwright
well 2 weeks ago I had a big buck jump my string and got a bad gut shot on him. I looked for 2 days with many of my friends and nothing well i heard yesterday that my buck was found by another hunter during shotgun season, about 200 yards from where i walked. The property i have is mostly swamp so its easy to loss the trail. Well the worst is that the Dnr has it and i have no way to prove that it is my deer. Im am telling you this because i am wondering what to do... This will be the third year ive hunted this buck so it means alot to me.. Ask the dnr if the blood samples "DNA" match the deer and off of your arrow.....It's yours..... works in court

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah I can see them using the hunting license fee's to help fund the price of DNA testing on deer to prove whether it was that deer's blood on your arrow or not. I know it's a crappy situation, you hunted hard for that deer for 3 years and finally kill him but do not recover him. That would make me sick too, but I do not see anything you can possibly do to get the rack back. I take it this deer was not found on your ground? Guest Danbo
Re: lost buck file in small claims for the antlers. Hey, you never know. save the arrow. Maybe PETA will help defend you so you can recover the remains of your dearly departed. serious about the small claims filing.
