ousoonerfan22
Are these good rifles? How good are their triggers?
AJ
Re: Tikka rifles? They are good quality guns made as a subsidiary of Sako and imported by Beretta USA. I have not heard of any not being good shooting guns.
ousoonerfan22
Re: Tikka rifles? My son works at a sporting goods store and today while I there a customer wanted a stainless boltaction for his son and chose the Tikka over a Browning,Remington,Savage and Ruger.I had never looked at the Tikka before and it looked like a decent gun. Do the Tikka's have adjustable triggers?
AJ
Re: Tikka rifles? Per the factory manual: [ QUOTE ] The single-stage trigger is adjustable for weight of pull between 10 and 20 N (2 and 4 lbs). We set the trigger at the factory at 13 - 15 N (3 lbs). OJR
Re: Tikka rifles? I have 2 of them and they are great! I have not touched the triggers since I got either one othem! They are just fine right out of the box! One is a 270 and the other one is a 308! Very accurate, light weight and great rifles!
iron buck
Re: Tikka rifles? They are very accurate rifles. I have shot 2 of them. I also used Colorado Bobs LH 30-06 to take my bull elk in Colorado this year. I love the accuracy...........but the stock is a bit "clubby". I like the stocks on 700s, 70s & 77s much better. AJ
Re: Tikka rifles? [ QUOTE ] How do they stack up in terms of price? [/ QUOTE ] They are comparable with Remington 700 and Savage prices, depending on the configuration. They run from ~$450 - $1200.
ousoonerfan22
Re: Tikka rifles? The gun I seen yesterday was a stainless .270 and included the scope rings for around $650,that's a good deal considering the rings and the factory trigger already set at 3 lbs. How does the bolt slide back by itself? Some type of spring in the bolt?
OJR
Re: Tikka rifles? [ QUOTE ] How does the bolt slide back by itself? Some type of spring in the bolt? [/ QUOTE ] There is not any spring. It is just machined that way! The bolts open very smooth! All you have to do is lift the bolt handle and the bolt will slide by itself!
